Billy Rae Stewart Gear
I am addicted to gear and the following pictures are evidence of that addiction. Like most musicians, I am always in search of the ultimate rig. That moment where the perfect guitar comes together with the perfect amp, with the perfect effects pedals, recorded through the perfect recording rig.
But as soon as we think we have found it, we think to ourselves, maybe there is something better. So we buy and we sell, and we buy and we sell. Maybe someday we will find our holy grail. But then again, maybe not.
'If there is one thing I have learned about music gear, its money cannot buy talent. It doesn't matter how much you spend on an instrument, it's what you do with it when it's in your hands that makes the music good or bad. My father was a world-class musician and songwriter. His guitar of choice was Epiphone. You don't need a $3000 guitar to write a hit song or play a concert hall, just talent.'
